30 Second Interview Clip

The person I chose to interview is my mom. In this 30 second clip, I asked her one of three questions about growing up/parenting. I asked her how her upbringing was different from how she raised her own kids. Considering that her parents grew up in China and raised her right after they had moved to the US, the parenting style was much different from raising kids in the United States. The footage in this video was shot by an iPhone 5.

Interview Clip

My mom just celebrated her 15th year teaching in the same school district. So, here, she talks about the influence music has over a person.

Brianna Lee Interview Clip

Here is a clip from my interview of my best friend Carel (Cuh-Rell). You can hear me speaking in some of the segments I asked her basic questions about herself and where she's from. Then in later sections of the interview, that aren't yet published, I ask her about future goals and such.

Alex Guatney - 1 Minute Interview

This is a short clip of my sister being interviewed on multiple topics. The first part is her talking about kids at school, and the rest is my sister trying to live up to my parents' expectations. (she told me to add in here that my parents like me better). I used a Rebel 3ti camera and a desk chair as a tripod. I took the untraditional route of having my subject sit on the floor rather than properly in a chair to give a more raw, personal and honest view. I hope you enjoy.

Journey in China Documentary

For my documentary, I videotaped my older sister about her/our experience living in China. It took place in my apartment kitchen around 3 p.m. The shot was taken with an I-Phone 5 camera. I started off by asking her how old she was and how the experience affected her. I thought this would be an interesting story to film and share because it is not very common to meet somebody who has lived in China with their family for a whopping three years. I shot the documentary in 30 second clips and all in all, everything turned out to be successful.
