Natalie's Post for 3/25/14

The documentary I chose to watch is, “I Think We’re Alone Now.”  In this shot, Kelly just got back from trying to go to a Tiffany concert, but she could not be let in since her ID was invalid. The angle of the camera gets Kelly looking upset with all of her pictures of Tiffany in the background. I think it makes the viewer understand how Kelly is so upset since she is basically obsessed with Tiffany and has a lot of photos of her all over Kelly’s apartment. The shot is not staged since the interviewer is asking Kelly questions during this scene. The image is documentary-like, but it is also conceptual because it is helping to describe Kelly’s story and how much Tiffany has impacted Kelly’s life. I think this scene is very dramatic since Kelly can be seen crying and looking down and at the pictures while being filmed.
